Varnish

Acrylic Varnish:

The new, safe, quick and easy way to finish wood. Non-yellowing, low-odour, hard-wearing and fast-drying.
For use on bare wood or wood that has been stained with a Wood-Dye.

Polyurethane Varnish:
A clear varnish available in Gloss, Satin & Matt. Polyurethane Varnish is a tough, hard-wearing finish for interior and exterior woodwork, resistant to chemicals and heat.
Easy to apply by brush, for use on bare wood or wood which has been stained with Wood Dye, Polyurethane Varnish Stain or Colourglaze.

Danish Oil
The easy wipe-on low lustre finish for all types of wood. Enhances the beauty of all timbers and gives a natural look. For use on bare wood or wood that has been stained with Wood Dye.
Absolutely no skill is required for application even when applied by brush. The brush is merely used to spread the oil liberally over the surface.

Teak Oil
Same as Danish Oil except it gives a gloss finish whereas Danish Oil gives a satin finish.

French Polish
We stock a leading range for French Polishing includes Button Polish, French Polish, Garnet Polish, Shellac Sanding Sealer, Transparent Polish and White Polish.
Application is a process that can be carried out by any competent amateur after a little practice.

Wood Dye versus Varnish Stain
When changing the colour of wood, it is preferable to dye the bare wood. This gives the most even and natural effect.
If this is not possible, because the wood has already been coated or oiled. Polyurethane Varnish Stain can be used.

Wood Dye
Available in eleven natural wood shades:

Ebony - Brown Mahogany - Red Mahogany - Light Oak -
Medium Oak - Dark Oak - Antique Pine - Pine - Light Teak - Dark Teak - Walnut
A quick drying and penetrating stain that has the advantages of not raising grain or causing tannin staining as found with water and alcohol based wood dyes. Non-fading and non-bleeding.
For application to bare wood, all types of wood, new and stripped, interior and exterior.
